FAMILY

“Families are the friends you don’t get to choose.” You should always love your family because they are the reason why you are alive, they served as your first teachers, and they love you no matter what.

Your parents wanted a child; and they got you. But despite your flaws, they still love you and they feel lucky and thankful that you are their biological child. They may have no choice in the matter when you were born, but that doesn’t mean their love isn’t real. The value I can integrate with this is love because family’s love have been present ever since you were born, even until now.

Before you went to school, they made sure you were well- educated when it comes to manners. They taught us what actions fall under the definition of good and evil or right and wrong. Those lessons served as your first steps into developing your behavior and characteristics. The value I can integrate with this is patience because family was always there for us when we were young and clueless. They patiently taught us lessons despite our attitudes and stupidity.

Ever since you were born, your family have welcomed you into their lives without uttering a single complaint. You may have been hard to control and to tolerate when you were young, but they loved you nevertheless. They tried their best to correct your wrongs and until now they still do. The value I can integrate with this is perseverance because they continuously persevere to take care of us and correct our wrong actions.

Families are the friends you don’t get to choose; but just because you don’t get options in the matter, It doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a bad thing. This essay is to further prove the point that family’s love is unconditional and that it doesn’t require a choice. So why not love them back?
